You can maximize the dynamic range and colour output capabilities of the Panasonic Lumix DC-S1 camera with this Filmmaker Upgrade Software Key. Once installed, the S1 will be capable of using the V-Log L gamma and V-Gamut, which offers a flat color profile and a wider, approximately 15-stop dynamic range for greater control during post-production color grading. The addition of this gamma also allows users to better match color with existing VariCam systems that feature standard V-Log, as both profiles utilize the same characteristic curve and LUT. This upgrade allows recording 4K60 video with 4:2:2 10-bit sampling to an external recorder over HDMI, as well as internal 4K30/24 video recording with 4:2:2 10-bit sampling. It is for use with the Lumix DC-S1 only and is not compatible with the Lumix DC-S1R. This upgrade is intended for use with NTSC-area cameras only and can only be used on one camera.
